Our Life & Travels In The PNW

Hi, we’re the Bywaters!

We’ve been living in (and traveling around) the PNW for most of our lives and sharing our adventures here for the past two years.

Our goal is to share our family adventures in a way that helps other people get the most out of their travel in the PNW.

What Is The PNW?

The Pacific Northwest region of North America is traditionally understood to include the U.S. states of Washington and Oregon. However, a broader definition also encompasses Southeast Alaska, British Columbia, northern California, northwestern Idaho, and western Montana. This interpretation takes into account not just geographical location and geographical features but also shared historical and cultural elements among these regions. However, this wider definition isn’t universally agreed upon as there is no official definition of what constitutes the PNW.

In our world, we focus mainly on Washington and Oregon as those are the locations closest to home and the easiest to travel to. Of course, I’d love to include travel guides to the other regions but those will have to wait for a day in the future when we have more experience there.
